Michael Adams: Pastor / Youth and Family Ministries

Michael was born and raised in Greenville, NC and, therefore, is a passionate Pirate fan. He married Julie on
Valentine’s Day in 1998 and they have four beautiful girls (that’s right, four girls) – Katie, Makayla, Trinity, and Gracie. Michael and Julie are expecting their fifth child in June of 2012. Michael accepted Christ in August 2001 and Julie and Michael were both baptized at Grace Church in September 2001.
Soon after accepting Christ, Michael was called into the ministry and began serving at Grace as the Children’s Director. After a couple of years, Michael and Julie moved to Wilkesboro, NC to serve as Children’s pastor at Celebration Church. They served in Wilkesboro for about a year and came back to Greenville so Michael could go to school. He graduated from Mount Olive College in December 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Religion.
For the last two years Michael has been serving Winterville Baptist Church as the youth pastor. Michael and Julie are both excited about the chance to go back to their home church and they look forward to the opportunities and challenges of this new chapter in their lives.
Scott Hanna: Worship Pastor s.hanna@gracechurchnc.com
Scott Hanna and his wife, Jerilynn, come to Grace Church from Lakeland, Florida where they served in church worship leadership for over seven years. They are in their third year of service here at Grace Church and are directly involved in many facets of our church. While the focus of their ministry is all things pertaining to worship – praise/worship teams, instrumental praise/worship teams, adult praise/worship choir, audio/video technology teams, adult musicals and cantata’s, children’s church worship – they are also directly involved in DC4K, Sunday School teaching and outreach, and the Ladies of Grace ministry.
Scott and Jerilynn have been married almost twenty two years and have four daughters – Jenna (19); Rebekah (8); Alyssa (6); and Sierra (3). Scott was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but was raised in Delray Beach, Florida. Jerilynn was born and raised in West Covina, California and moved to Florida after they were married. Their story of how they met is an awe inspiring account of God’s divine providence.
“To those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.” – II Peter 2:1-3
Scott and his family are delighted that God has called them to serve at Grace Church. If you have any questions about their ministries or would like to get to know them better, please contact them at any time.
