Mike Meshaw: Pastor

Pastor Mike and his wife Cheryl come to Grace Church from Wilmington, NC. There they served for 26 years in Grace Baptist Church and Wilmington Christian Academy. Pastor Mike was Associate Pastor at Grace Baptist Church for 8 years before receiving the call to pastor at Grace Church. After 26 years of teaching at Wilmington Christian Academy, Cheryl is presently employed in community services, working throughout the Pitt County area. They are both graduates of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. They have served at Grace Church for seven years.

Mike and Cheryl have two married sons, Michael and Adam. Michael and Amy presently live in West Palm Beach, Florida. Adam and Chandra continue to live in Wilmington, NC. You should also know that Pastor Mike and Cheryl are proud grandparents! Chandra recently gave birth to the Meshaw's first grandson, Austyn Matthew Meshaw. Austyn was born on Saturday, April 7th.  Michael and Amy presented Pastor Mike and Cheryl with their second grandchild. MiKenna Noelle Meshaw was born on Tuesday, December 11. The Meshaws are praising the Lord for His goodness to their family!

There is one more thing you should know about Pastor Mike. He is a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. GO PIRATES!

Pastor Mike and Cheryl rejoice in the work the Lord is doing at Grace Church. The influence of Grace Church reaches throughout Pitt County and around the world. What a great God we serve!  

Jamin Shelby: Pastor / Youth and Family Ministries

Jamin was born and raised in Jackson, Georgia, which is just south of Atlanta, therefore, he is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Jamin surrendered his life to the Lord in December of 1994 at the age of 18. 

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia, in May of 1999, and later obtained a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 2004. 

Jamin realized the call of God on his life in the fall of 2000 to be in the ministry, and from that point on, God has shown His sovereignty in Jamin's life each day. 

Jamin married Kelly in June of 2007 and she assists him in his ministry with the teens, plays the bass guitar for our Praise & Worship teams and conducts our Grace Church orchestra.

Jon Bowman:  Pastor / Worship Ministries and Evangelism

Jon and Rebekah hail from the Triad area of North Carolina.          (Go Tarheels!) 

Jon attended Liberty University, transferred, and graduated from Trinity Baptist College with a B.A. in Pastoral Theology.  He is currently working on his Master of Ministry at Piedmont Bible College.  Jon has served as an assistant pastor in Florida, Missouri, Tennessee, and North Carolina and has pastored for the past 8 years at Pleasant View Baptist Church (Eden, NC).  He loves sports, watching movies, swimming, reading, and hanging out with his family and friends.  He aspires to reach the unsaved and unchurched of Greenville.  Preaching the Word, reaching the lost and encouraging believers to grow in their knowledge and practical use of the Scriptures is his passion. 

Rebekah is also a graduate of Trinity Baptist College with a degree in Elementary Education.  Turning kids' hearts to our Savior and  equipping kids with the tools to be able to vocalize their faith and have fun doing it is her calling and passion!  She taught elementary school in Tennessee, worked alongside Jon during their youth ministry years and was the ministry coordinator at their church in Eden.  She loves to paint, sing, shop with friends, visit with family & cuddle with her fellas.

Their sons, Jonathan II and Jared, enjoy riding their bikes, playing sports and their Wii, swimming, and making home-made movies.  There is never a dull moment in the Bowman family!

The Bowmans are grateful for the opportunity to serve the people of Grace and the Greenville area.
