Pastor Mike and his wife Cheryl moved to Grace Church from Wilmington, NC. There they served for 26 years in Grace Baptist Church and Wilmington Christian Academy. Pastor Mike was Associate Pastor at Grace Baptist Church for 8 years before receiving the call to pastor at Grace Church. They are both graduates of Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN. They are going into their tenth year of ministry at Grace Church.

Mike and Cheryl have two sons, Michael and Adam. Michael and his wife, Amy, presently live in Ovieda, Florida. Adam and his wife, Chandra, live in Wilmington, NC. You should also know that Pastor Mike and Cheryl are beaming grandparents! Adam and Chandra are the proud parents of Austyn Matthew Meshaw and Cyler Dallas (born on December 26, 2009).  Michael and Amy have a beautiful daughter, MiKenna Noelle Meshaw. Needless to say, the Meshaws are praising the Lord for His goodness to their family!

There is one more thing you should know about Pastor Mike. He is a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates. GO PIRATES! Pastor Mike realizes that his Pirates are struggling but he is a faithful fan!

Pastor Mike and Cheryl continue to be excited about the Lord's work at Grace Church. The Lord's AMAZING LOVE reaches throughout Pitt County and around the world. What a great God we serve!  

Jamin Shelby: Pastor / Youth and Family Ministries

Jamin was born and raised in Jackson, Georgia, which is just south of Atlanta, therefore, he is an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan. Jamin surrendered his life to the Lord in December of 1994 at the age of 18. 

He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Georgia, in May of 1999, and later obtained a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 2004. 

Jamin realized the call of God on his life in the fall of 2000 to be in the ministry, and from that point on, God has shown His sovereignty in Jamin's life each day. 

Jamin married Kelly on August 4, 2007 and she assists him in his ministry with the teens and plays the bass guitar and trumpet for our Praise & Worship teams. Jamin and Kelly are expecting their first child in September and are excited about what God is doing in their lives and at Grace Church.

Scott Hanna:  Worship Pastor

Scott Hanna and his wife, Jerilynn, come to Grace Church from Lakeland, Florida. They have been married twenty years and have four daughters – Jenna (17); Rebekah (6); Alyssa (4); and Sierra (14 months). The Hanna family is new to Grace Church having joined our ministry team in June 2009. Scott and Jerilynn have been involved in church worship leadership, with Scott leading the congregation and Jerilynn leading choir, for the past eight years at Cornerstone Baptist in Lakeland, Florida and Willow Oak Baptist in Mulberry, Florida.

Scott was born in Bellevue, Pennsylvania, but was raised in Delray Beach, Florida. Jerilynn was born and raised in West Covina, California and moved to Florida after they were married. Their story of how they met is an awe inspiring account of God’s divine providence.

Scott loves kayaking, playing volleyball and 4-wheeling and is a die-hard Steven Curtis Chapman fan. The family enjoys listening to a wide variety of Christian music artists and attends as many Christian music concerts as possible. 

Scott and his family are extremely excited about serving at Grace Church and being a part of the Grace Family.
